Toby Drake discovered the guitar at the age of 13 in France. Very quickly he got closer to the Manouche community and followed private lessons with Tchavolschmitt. At 17, he left to live in Andalusia where he naturally immersed himself in "flamenco fiestas" to rub shoulders with great artists such as La Bernarda de Utrera, Carmen Ledesma, or Thomás de Perrate. He moved to Seville and took guitar lessons, accompanying dance with the "maestros", Antonio Moya, Adela Campallo, Carmen Ledesma, Antonio Roldán, Jose Galvan, Juana Amaya, Manuela Carrasco, Angelita Vargas. In 2011, he joined the prestigious guitar school of Seville: La Fondacion Cristina Hereens where he obtained a scholarship to renew a second year and validate the final exam. In parallel, since 2010, he has been teaching guitar in different schools in Seville. His pedagogy never ceases to inscribe in him a conviction; Flamenco is an art for everyone. He relies on rhythm to give a playful sense to his master classes. In 2011, he became an accompanist guitarist in the "Cafe cantante" of Triana, Festivals and created his first flamenco group with Carmen Tamayo and Jorge Cerillo. He then multiplied concerts in the traditional repertoire, with different artists, in Spain and Europe. From 2012 to 2015, he created, with Anselmo Rodriguez, the group Kmaléonicos, a fusion of South American, Jazz and flamenco music, a group that tours everywhere in Andalusia. Since 2015 works in many projects with a great flamenco dancer, Lorine De Azevedo. Also in Seville, he is hired to support the intensive courses of Juana Amaya, Carmen Ledesma, Carmela Riqueni, Esperanza Fernandez, Lucía La Piñona, Felipa de Algeciras and performed with artists such as Naike Ponce, Javier Allende, Vincente Celada, Maria Albarracin,...
